Guess what? I actually drew this! (For those of you who realize the significance of this, take a deep breath. For those of you who don't get it, look at my gallery, and for those of you who are in disbelief, well...believe)

That's so awesome!! I am actually trying to get a similar effect. I'm using photoshop, and I'm having trouble with the color channels on the two layers. if I understand correctly, the red layer's channels are supposed to be 100% red, 0 green, and 0 blue. Problem is, this does not change the image. It was already 100% red, 0 green, and 0 blue.
If it's not a trouble for you, would you mind taking a stab at what I'm doing wrong?
